The
Pacific Region Red Sea Urchin Integrated Fisheries Management Plan is
updated yearly and
encompasses the period of August 1 to July 31. The
plan is written as an Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP), a
format that gives a wider context to the management of the fisheries.
The Red Sea Urchin commercial, aboriginal and recreational harvest plans
are attached as Appendices to the IFMP.
For the latest Post-season Review (history of the fishery, all management regimes used and tables and figures showing trends in catch and effort) contact one of the Resource Management Biologists listed in the contacts section.
