2017 Area E gill net Fraser sockeye demonstration fishery pool - designation list and allocation of sockeye holdings form

This webpage is intended for informational purposes only.

Note - Fishery openings are dependent on constraints for stocks of concern outlined in the 2017/18 South Coast Salmon Integrated Fishery Management Plan (IFMP).

The 2017 Area E gill net demonstration fishery for Fraser River sockeye will be managed using a voluntary pool concept open to all vessel owners / licence eligibility holders. Only vessel owners / licence eligibility holders with a valid 2017 Area E licence may participate in this pool.

List a minimum of five (5) licences per pool. Pools with fewer than 5 licences will not be eligible to participate in the fishery. There is no maximum number of vessels allowed in each pool. Only one vessel for each pool will be authorized to fish in the demonstration fishery and the entire pool share will be assigned to the licence for that one vessel. Vessel owners / licence eligibility holders may only participate in one designated pool. This pool will be used for any demonstration fishery openings for sockeye.
