Region 1

Puntledge River: Coho and chinook: the daily limit for coho and chinook salmon will remain at zero (0) in the Puntledge River until further notice. Listed 05/08/2011 FN0678

Somass River: The daily limit for Somass sockeye salmon remains at zero (0) until further notice. Listed on 29/05/2008 FN0334

Region 2

Fraser River: Sockeye: from the boundary sign located approximately 100 meters above the confluence with the Sumas/Vedder River on the south side of the Fraser River, then Northerly across the river to a boundary sign located on the north bank of the Fraser River, upstream to the Alexandra Bridge: Sept. 19, 2011 until further notice: no retention of sockeye permitted. The area downstream of this boundary remains closed to the retention of sockeye until further notice. Listed 16/09/2011 FN0905

Little Campbell River:

  • Chinook: Sep 15 - Dec 31, 2011 and Jan 1 - Aug 14, 2012: No fishing for Chinook.
  • Aug 15 - Sep 30: annual angling closure of the area downstream of a line between two triangular boundary signs on either side of the Little Campbell River to the pedestrian bridge at the foot of Stayte Road. This area is locally known as the meadow hole and the orchard run.

Sockeye: Clarification to the summary of all recreational opportunities in Areas 28 and 29 and Region 2: Further to notices FN0751, FN0752 and FN0754, the aggregate daily limit (total daily limit) for Sockeye Salmon for all waters combined, tidal and non-tidal, is two (2). Reminder: the aggregate daily limit for all salmon species for all waters combined is four (4). Listed 19/08/2011 FN0764

Fraser River: Sockeye: Further to fishery notice FN0712, effective 00:01 hrs Tuesday, September 6, 2011 until further notice, there is no retention of sockeye permitted from the CPR bridge at Mission upstream to the boundary sign located approximately 100 meters above the confluence with the Sumas/Vedder River on the south side of the Fraser River, then Northerly across the river to a boundary sign located on the north bank of the Fraser River. The area upstream of this boundary remains open to the retention of sockeye until further notice with a daily limit of two (2). Listed 02/09/2011 FN0839

Harrison River: Sockeye: downstream of the Highway 7 bridge to the confluence with the Fraser River: until further notice, daylight hours only from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset: two (2) Sockeye Salmon per day. Anglers should be aware that the First Nations food, social and ceremonial fishery is open in this area. Listed 18/08/2011 FN0754

Squamish River and tributaries: Pink: reminder: the retention of Pink Salmon is not permitted in the following waters:

  • The Cheakamus River from the confluence of the Squamish River upstream to Bailey bridge;
  • The Mamquam River downstream of the CN rail bridge; and
  • The Squamish River downstream of boundary signs at the powerline crossing approximately 1.5 km upstream of the confluence with the Cheakamus River.

Squamish River: Coho retention area: downstream of the boundary signs at the powerline crossing approx. 1.5 km upstream of the confluence with the Cheakamus River. Hatchery marked Coho may not be retained above this boundary. Listed on 26/07/2011 FN0622

Seymour River: Coho: Effective May 20, 2011: the daily limit for hatchery coho is 2 per day. Listed on 19/05/2011 FN0402

Region 3

Thompson River and Kamloops Lake: in the waters of Kamloops Lake and the waters of the Thompson River from Kamloops Lake down stream to the confluence of the Fraser River: effective Sept. 30, 2011, one hour after daylight: no Fishing for Salmon. Listed 21/09/2011 FN0917

Thompson River and Kamloops Lake: Sockeye, Pink and Chinook Salmon: Waters of Kamloops Lake and waters of the Thompson River: from Kamloops Lake downstream to the fishing boundary signs just downstream of Gold Pan Provincial Park except closed in the following three (3) locations:

  1. Deadman - from the fishing boundary signs approximately 1 km downstream of the Hwy # 1 bridge at Savona to the CN rail bridge approximately 500 meters downstream of the Deadman Creek/Thompson River confluence;
  2. Juniper - fishing boundary signs approx 1.5 km downstream from Juniper Beach park downstream approximately 4km to fishing boundary signs located at GPS coordinates 50 degrees 46 53.58N, 121 degrees 8 6.61W;
  3. Ashcroft - from the fishing boundary sign at the up stream side of the mouth of the Bonaparte River to Hwy 97C bridge in Ashcroft.

August 27, 2011 until further notice, daylight hours only: Daily limit of two (2) Sockeye per day, (4) Pink per day, (4) Chinook per day 1 over 50cm fork length. Listed 25/08/2011 FN0792

Fraser River: The waters of the Fraser River from the confluence of the Fraser/Seton River downstream to the fishing boundary signs located on both sides of the river approximately 4km downstream of the town of Lillooet: Effective Sept. 25, 2011, one hour after daylight: No fishing for salmon. Listed 21/09/2011 FN0916

Fraser River: Sockeye, Pink & Chinook: in the waters of the Fraser River from the confluence of the Fraser / Seton rivers downstream to the fishing boundary signs located on both sides of the river approximately 4km downstream of the town of Lillooet: Aug. 20, 2011 until further notice, daylight hours only:

  • 2 Sockeye per day,
  • 4 Pink per day,
  • 4 Chinook per day only 1 over 50cm fork length.

Combined daily limit 4 salmon. Listed 18/08/2011 FN0755

Region 5B

Bella Coola River: Chum: including tributaries: Aug. 03 - March 31, 2012: the daily limit for chum has been reduced to 0 per day. Listed 02/08/2011 FN0648

Region 6

Kitimat River: Pink Salmon: Effective immediately the daily quota for Pink Salmon is 0 per day in the mainstem waters of the Kitimat River (including tributaries) downstream of the Hwy 37 Bridge. Listed 15/06/2010 FN0433
