Wild Salmon Policy

As part of the Government of Canada's COVID-19 response plan, DFO is focusing efforts on maintaining essential services while advancing measures to minimize COVID-19 transmission. Given this, the 2019-20 Annual Report on the Wild Salmon Policy 2018-2022 Implementation Plan will be postponed to June 30, 2020. DFO remains committed to public reporting on this important initiative, and the Annual Report will be available here once released.

Canada’s Policy for Conservation of Wild Pacific Salmon guides Canada and its partners in protection and conservation actions for the 5 iconic wild Pacific salmon species and their habitats.
