Tides, Currents and Water Levels

Observed Tides

British Columbia:
The Pacific Region Tides, Currents and Water Levels web site provides observed water levels for 13 stations along the B.C. Coast. Observed 15 minute water levels for each station are displayed in both graphic and tabular form. The graphs display a 3 day period. Predicted 15 minute water levels are also displayed to help visualize the effects meteorological conditions have on the tides. The Table displays the present month.

**NEW** For the Graphs and Tables the observed times are Greenwich Mean Time/Coordinated Universal Time (GMT/UTC). To convert to Pacific Standard Time (PST) subtract 8 hours, for Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) subtract 7 hours.

Observed water levels provided at this site are referenced to local chart datum (lowest normal tide). Note that the water levels are provisional and are subject to change.

To obtain archived water levels please visit the Marine Environmental Data Service (MEDS) web site at: http://www.meds-sdmm.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/.

These predictions, which are prepared for the convenience of users, are supplements to and not replacements for the Canadian Tide and Current Tables, which are the official tidal predictions for Canada.
