
The
Science Branch of Fisheries and Oceans Canada conducts joint research
and exchanges information and knowledge with a wide range of
international partners. Researchers frequently collaborate with other
countries to develop methods for prediction, assessment and mitigation
of the effect of human activities on the environment. This includes
participation in international efforts to understand the role of oceans
in global climatic change. Fisheries and Oceans Canada researchers are
active members in a number of prestigious international organizations.
