Aquatic Species Research

Canada’s Pacific coast is home to approximately 3800 species of invertebrates, 400 species of fish and 50 species of marine mammals. Scientific research into aquatic species takes place at many DFO research facilities and supports the goals of species conservation, and sustainable resource management decisions.
