Large and frequently utilized, spawning beds are indicated by asterisks (*). Use "Back arrow" to return to this page (Video Clip).

Herring spawn depositions have been digitized using ArcView and are shown on 101 section maps of British Columbia (BC). Multi-coloured polygons represent overlays of successive spawning years (1930-2002). See cumulative spawn analysis for total spawn along each kilometre since 1928.

Composite maps (1531 x 1173 jpg) may exceed browser window size, triggering automatic rescaling and forcing a reduction in image quality. To disable image scaling using Microsoft Internet Explorer: Select Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, scroll down to Multimedia and uncheck "Enable Automatic Image Resizing". Click "Apply" to maintain image quality and size. This needs to be done only once.
