The Yukon/Transboundary area holds many opportunities for
recreational fishers. The most popular sport fishery areas on the Yukon River include
Tatchun Creek, Teslin River and tributaries, Big Salmon River and tributaries of the Pelly River
.

Other popular areas on the Tatshenshini River System include the Blanchard, Tatshenshini, and Takhanne Rivers. In northern British Columbia, anglers pursue salmon in the waters of the Tahltan, Nakina and Stikine Rivers. A wide variety of different species of salmon, trout and arctic char reside in the many lakes and rivers of the region. This site is divided into five areas in which information can obtained about recreational fishing opportunities in the area.

Be sure to check the Regulations Summary for a complete list of Gear Restrictions and area closure dates and times.

We are also happy to provide a few Tackle Tips for fishing in the Yukon/Transboundary region.
