Federal regulatory policy requires that a cost-benefit analysis (CBA) be conducted to identify and then monetize, where possible, the incremental impacts expected with the establishment of the proposed MPA. The results of the CBA form one part of the advice to decision makers during the development of the regulations that establish the MPA, along with the biological analyses and results from consultations with Canadians.
