Fisheries in the Pacific Region

The Pacific Region includes over 27 000 kilometres of coast along British Columbia and the Yukon Territory, as well as 560 000 square kilometres of ocean.

The Pacific Region is home to diverse commercial, recreational and Aboriginal fisheries. The value of the commercial fishery in 2007 was more than $230 million and includes salmon, groundfish, pelagic and shellfish species.
