Part C: Signature and acknowledgement

For temporary reallocations of Chinook quota, only one owner (ATF) or one authorized signatory of the (ATF) licence holder is required to sign unless otherwise stated.

I confirm that I am the true owner of the ATF licenced vessel OR that I am the true authorized signatory for the holder of the ATF licence (designated to) M/V __________ (print name of vessel) and request that the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Canada reallocate the Chinook ITQ as specified in Part B as specified in Part A. I understand and acknowledge that the allocations and reallocations are at the absolute discretion of the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans.

Request for temporary reallocation of chinook ITQ holdings guidelines for ATF licensed salmon vessels

N.B. This form needs to be completed if you wish to transfer all or a portion of your Chinook quota to another vessel.

Please read the Request for temporary reallocation of salmon ITQ holdings form and the guidelines below, carefully.

  1. The 2023 salmon licence must be issued prior to any licence amendment issuance or processing of a Request for Temporary Reallocation of Chinook ITQ
  2. A Chinook Quota Status Confirmation Number will be issued for all reallocation transactions and must be onboard the vessel prior to engaging in any fishing activity
  3. ATF licensed vessel:
    • If the ATF licensed vessel is the “FROM” vessel (reallocating the ITQ Chinook holdings) this Request for Reallocation form must be signed (in PART C) only by an authorized signatory of the ATF Licence Holder. If the ATF licensed vessel is the receiver of the ITQ Chinook holdings (the “TO” vessel) this form may be signed by the signatory or designated agent of the ATF licence holder
    • Temporary reallocations are for the current year only
  4. A licensed vessel
    • For temporary reallocations of Chinook ITQ holdings, only one owner is required to sign this form in (Part C)
    • Temporary reallocations are for the current year only
  5. Fish that has already been caught cannot be reallocated
  6. The maximum total uncaught quota that can be held by an individual licence is equal to three Individual Transferable Quotas
