The purpose of the GeoDiscovery Portal is to assist the general public and government organisations with discovery of government held marine spatial information.
The GeoDiscovery Portal is a catalog of information that describes marine spatial data held by Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Parks Canada, Environment Canada and the Province of British Columbia. The GeoDiscovery Portal catalog also contains information that describes the terrestrial spatial data holdings of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
The GeoDiscovery Portal is a collaborative project between the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia and is hosted by Fisheries and Oceans Canada on behalf of all participating government organisations.
