The
Pacific Region Red Sea Urchin Integrated Fisheries Management
Plan is updated yearly and encompasses the period of August 1 to
July 31. The plan is written as an Integrated Fisheries
Management Plan (IFMP), a format that gives a wider context to
the management of the fisheries. The Red Sea Urchin commercial,
aboriginal and recreational harvest plans are attached as
Appendices to the IFMP.
