Tenderfoot Creek Hatchery - General Information

Location:

Fifteen kilometres north of Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. Located adjacent to Tenderfoot Lake, east of the Cheakamus River.

Directions:

North, from Vancouver, on Highway 99. Look for hatchery signs just prior to the junction for Alice Lake Provincial Park. Turn left onto Squamish Valley Road. Travel four kilometres west to Cheekye, take the right fork (Paradise Valley Road). Four kilometres then turn right onto Midnight Way. Hatchery is at the south end of the road, approximately 1 kilometre.

Operation:

Open to the public seven days a week, 09:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. Closed on Dec. 25 & 26 and January 1. Occasionally closed during the month of August, as operational requirements dictate.

Tours:

Self-guiding site tour and interpretive information. Special tours can be accommodated as operations allow.

Chinook, Coho, Chum and Pink salmon

Chum Adults November - December (in Tenderfoot Lake)
Coho Juveniles All Year
Chinook Juveniles December - May
