Changes to an aquaculture licence
It is important to keep your aquaculture licence up to date. Here's how to renew, change and cancel your B.C. Aquaculture licence.
Licence reissuance
Your Pacific aquaculture licence will be reissued upon payment of the licensing fees. Once received, your licence should become part of the valid licence holders list after the expiry date.
For further licence reissuance inquiries, please contact us.
Changes
See the status of licence applications under review for new or amended aquaculture facilities
Licence amendments
If you would like to amend your existing aquaculture licence to modify the size and type of facility, the species to be cultivated or other operational details, an application is required. User fees and additional information can be found by reviewing our Application process webpage and on the Province of British Columbia's website.
Contact changes
You must notify us within 15 days if you have any changes to your contact information. Failing to do so could lead to enforcement actions.
Ownership transfer of business
If a business with a valid aquaculture licence is sold and the buyer wants to continue with the same management plan, the new owner must submit a licensee amendment form to the Province of British Columbia.
If the new owner doesn't want to keep the aquaculture licence, they must notify us.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your aquaculture licence, please contact us.
