Part C: Signature and acknowledgement
This application must be signed by all owners of the vessel from which the quota is being reallocated.
I/We hereby confirm that I/we am/are the true owner(s) of the M/V _________________ and request that the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans reallocate the Lingcod quota specified in Part B as specified in Part A. I/We also request that the amendments to the Conditions of the Lingcod Licence be faxed or emailed as specified in Part A. I/We understand and acknowledge that the allocations and reallocations of lingcod quota are at the absolute discretion of the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans.

Permanent reallocation request for lingcod IVQ guidelines
- A valid licence amendment must be issued by the Groundfish Management Unit and must be onboard while the vessel is engaged in fishing activities.
- Requests can be processed only if both licenses involved are valid for the current fishing season.
- To avoid a delay in the issuance of your licence amendment, please ensure that the form is completed in full and signed prior to faxing it to the Groundfish Management Unit.
- Where the Department has received for processing, two or more conflicting requests for reallocation, all of the requests for reallocation will be denied.
- IVQ that has already been caught and deemed “fished” cannot be reallocated.
- The request cannot be submitted more than two weeks prior to Date Requested to be processed.
- Permanent reallocations of quota do not revert back at the end of the fishing year and will be reflected in subsequent years
Part A: Identifying vessels
Identify the two vessels that are involved in the reallocation.
Part B: Identify uncaught quota to be reallocated
Specify the amount of quota (pounds OR %) to be reallocated.
Part C: Signature and acknowledgement
Enter the vessel name in the space provided. All vessel owners must sign the form. If the vessel owner is a company, only an authorized signing authority for the company may sign the application. A copy of either a Confirmation of Signing Authorities or an Amendment to Confirmation of Signing Authorities listing the signing authorities must be on file with the Pacific Fishery Licence Unit (PFLU). Sign and date the form. If more signature spaces are required, attach an additional page with signature(s).
Submitting the reallocation request
- Make a copy of this spreadsheet and save the copy using the naming convention from licence - Month day, Year.
- Complete the reallocation form information as described above
- Print a copy of the completed Reallocation Request Form and have all registered owners sign the paper form.
- Fax the signed copy of the Reallocation Request Form to the fax service (1-866-561-5729)
- Email the completed copy of the of the spreadsheet to Fisheries and Oceans.
