Information concerning nominations of roe herring licence eligibilities
Roe Herring licence eligibility nominations are only accepted annually from April 01 to October 31 inclusive. Nominations must be received by a Pacific Fishery Licence Unit (PFLU), by close of business on October 31: Postmarks will not be accepted. The nomination must be notarised within 6 months of the date submitted.
This nomination must be signed by the licence eligibility holder of record. If the licence eligibility holder is a company, the PFLU must have on record a copy of either a Confirmation of Signing Authorities or an Amendment to Confirmation of Signing Authorities form advising who the signing authorities for the company are. The Department does not accept Powers of Attorney.
- Only one licence eligibility is allowed per nomination form.
- Only one party may be nominated (an Individual or a Company). Multiple nominees will not be accepted.
- If the nominee is not an Aboriginal individual as defined under the Indian Act, R.S., c. 149 s. 1 as amended, then you must cross out line 4 in the declaration area.
- Reduced fee roe herring licence eligibility holders (Aboriginal individuals) may only nominate an Aboriginal individual that is considered a Status Indian as defined under the Indian Act, R.S., c. 149 s. 1.
- If the nomination is accepted a letter confirming the acceptance will be sent to the Nominator and Nominee at the address on record with the PFLU, and agent where applicable.
Nominations may be submitted by mail, fax or e-mail to the Pacific Fishery Licence Unit. Please allow up to 10 working days for processing.
