This form must be completed if you wish to reallocate all or a portion of your quota holdings. When completed submit form to DFO using the National On-Line Licensing System (NOLS)

Reallocation Guidelines:

  1. both vessels must have a valid current year G or FG licence issued to the vessel prior to reallocation of any Geoduck holdings
  2. for category G licence eligibilities a vessel owner of record, or an authorized signatory, must sign this request
  3. for category FG licence eligibilities an authorized signatory of the Communal Commercial licence eligibility holder must sign this request. Vessel Owners, of vessels that have been designated to hold a category FG licence eligibility, do not have the authority to authorize temporary quota reallocations to or from the category FG licence eligibility. A valid licence amendment must be on record with the Department while the vessel is engaged in fishing. Amendments issued in respect of a Geoduck licence eligibility must be attached to, and therefore forms a part of, the conditions of licence

  5. temporary uncaught quota reallocations can be made at anytime
  6. in order to temporarily reallocate quota the vessel providing the quota must:
    1. be not actively fishing or
    2. have a minimum remaining quota equal to at least one quota block in addition to the quota block(s) being transferred
    3. only uncaught Geoduck ITQ may be reallocated
  7. quota Holdings must be transferred in full blocks. A quota block is 1/550 (0.182% approximately) of the commercial T.A.C. Example:Where the T.A.C. is = 2,750,000 lbs then One Quota Block = 5,000 lbs
  8. the Service Provider will be recording catch against quota blocks in ascending order from the lowest numbered quota block to the highest. Be aware of which quota blocks are available for reallocation
  9. each vessel may only fish a maximum of 50 blocks in one licence year
