iREC Track your fishing form

Support sustainable management of the Pacific recreational fishery!

Use this form to keep track of your fishing information during the period you were selected to report on to the internet Recreational Effort and Catch (iREC) reporting program, so it is easier to complete your report accurately. See the “iREC Reporting Requirement” box printed on your licence for your access ID and reporting period. Using this form is not required and this form does not take the place of catch records of Chinook, Halibut and Lingcod you are required to write on your licence. Submit your iREC report online using your access id before the reporting deadline which is printed on your licence.

The reporting program will ask for catches of all species of finfish and shellfish listed online. To ensure this record provides the information needed to complete your report, note the following and see the examples on page 2:

• Record all combinations of date, management area and fishing method, including those with no kept or released catch
• Record the number of children with Juvenile fishing licences who fished with you and for whom you were responsible. Record their catch combined with yours.
