- Total landed value fell by 94% between 1988 and 1999
- Sockeye abundant years have been more pronounced recently
- From 1952 to 1997, the average annual landed value of Pacific salmon was $306M
- Since 1998, the average annual landed value of Pacific salmon has been $58M, or roughly 19% of pre 1998 levels
- Average annual landed value between 2015 and 2020 was 15% of pre 1998 levels
Average landed value per kilogram by Pacific salmon species - 1952 to 2020 (2020$)
- Average prices of all species tended to be higher between 1970-1990 than other years
- The average price of Pink decreased between 1980 and 2005. It has since made a slight resurgence with the 2020 average price of Pink at 38% of that of 1980
- There were large increases in the average price of Chinook between 1952 and 1979 and between 1993 and 2020
